“Best Of” Holiday Gift Guide: Splurges vs. Budget Friendly

We are wrapping up our final week of gift giving (hah, get it?😉 Wrapping…🎁), so this one is for my last minute gift shoppers!

Let’s be honest, we have all splurged on ourselves at one point or another (because we deserve it!!!). And while it may have had us posting the “hide the package from my husband” sign on the front porch for the delivery person, or made us cringe at the bank statement, it was completely worth the purchase! Other times, we have hedged our willpower, and decided to save with the budget friendly item or place.

For this last blog post of the “Best Of” Holiday Gift Guide series, I’ve teamed up with my followers to bring you the top places/items they splurge on vs. the budget friendly side of shopping!

Fan Favorites: Splurges

Louis Vuitton Utility Crossbody, Chanel Quilted Fanny Pack, Gucci Marmont Mini Round Shoulder Bag are all great options for everyday wear and to add a little oomph to your outfit🔥

Dyson Air wrap

As mentioned in the Hot Tools Gift Guide blog post, this is by far my favorite hot tool! It’s a splurge, but completely worth it. It styles AND dries at the same time, so it’s a time saver too!

Next up on the list is Riki Mirrors! The Riki Pretty Mirror is an LED lighted vanity mirror with Bluetooth technology, smartphone holder and so many other features! So perfect for any beauty enthusiast.

Breville/Nespresso

Where are my coffee lovers at?☕ Breville and Nespresso were tied for this splurge! The Breville Barista Express Espresso Maker and Nespresso Vertuo Plus Deluxe Espresso and Coffee Maker Bundle (on sale for $135.20) are both highly-rated and make a great brew.

Cartier Bracelet

If you’re looking to splurge on jewelry, Cartier is the way to go according to my followers. This dainty, rose gold Love Bracelet is so cute for everyday wear too!

Coats are definitely something I like to splurge on too because they typically last a super long time! Bundle up this winter in this Powder Parka! It looks SO comfy and comes in 18 colors to choose from! The Super Puff Bomber and The Slouch Wool Coat are some other great options too😍

Lovesac Couch

I’m sure you’ve seen this brand on social media! Not only are they rearrangeable, but also washable and customizable. There are so many options for their Sactionals and all are on sale right now! This SuperSac is my jam though…it looks like a big cloud! Plus, it’s on sale for $1,040 (normally $1,300)!

Last up on the splurge list is the iFLOOR Tineco Vacuum! Check out this Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner on Amazon. It’s a vacuum and mop all in one!

Fan Favorites: Budget Friendly

American Eagle/Aerie

First up on the budget friendly list my followers recommended are American Eagle and Aerie! I love both places for oversized and comfy sweatshirts like this Oversized Soft & Sexy Plush Hoodie and Open Back Sweatshirt. Also, how adorable are these Fleece Super Flare Pant?!

Target

It’s no wonder why Target was also on the “top places to shop” in a previous blog post…it’s the BEST. Sales upon sales are going on right now, so to save you some time (and money) I found a few great gifts:

Goodwill

Thrifting has become a big trend and more normalized in recent years thanks to Gen Z’ers! If you’re looking to save money, while supporting sustainable fashion, thrifting is the way to go! Find your local Goodwill store here.

H&M

If you’re looking for trendy good quality clothing that’s super affordable, H&M is your spot! Check out this Turtleneck Sweater, and pair it with these Mom High Ankle Jeans and Chelsea Boots. SO CUTE!

Old Navy

Whether you’re shopping for work wear, athletic wear, or casual wear, Old Navy is a great budget friendly spot and I’m so glad my followers recommended it! Their holiday sales are poppin’ right now! This Light Support Longline Sports Bra looks so cute and comfy, even for just lounging around the house, and so does this Loose Crewneck Cropped Sweatshirt. Some other great finds: Plush-Knit Pajama Pants, 2 Pack of High-Waisted Biker Shorts, Sleeveless Midi Shift Dress, 3 Piece Pajama Set and Double-Breasted Puffer Jacket.

Beyond the Rack

BTR is an online retailer that offers up to 80% off retail for big name designers and brands! How cute is this Vogue Printed Top?! So perfect for under a blazer or shacket. Speaking of a shacket…love this one! Check out their holiday shop for tons more deals!

Poshmark

This app takes thrifting to the next level! Buy and sell fashion, home goods, and more. It’s super easy to use, and you can find some great items on there! Free People, Lululemon, and Zara are all trending brands right now.

Home Sense

This home furnishing discount store is sister companies with Home Goods, Marshalls, T.J.Maxx and more! It’s all in-person shopping, so check out their list of stores to find one closest to you.

Shein

Next up is one of the most affordable online stores for trendy clothes! Their end of year sale is going on right now too🎊 This Batwing Knit Sweater is super cute for a casual, comfy look, or go with this Heathered Knit Zip-Up Hoodie and Drawstring Jogger Sweatpants for lounging! Quick tip: make sure to read reviews before purchasing. Sizing can be a little funky sometimes, so the reviews are super helpful!

T.J.Maxx/Marshalls

Last on the budget friendly list was a tie between T.J.Maxx and Marshalls! You can find some great pieces at both places for a major discount. If you’re looking for a cute outfit to wear for the holidays, check out this red Tie-Front Jumpsuit.
