All Things Self-Tanner

Now that the weather has gone from “mild fall time” to “basically freezing,” it’s a great time to get a nice self-tan, isn’t it? Fake a little vitamin D and get that (make believe) sunny glow. I have my self-tan routine pretty down pat at this point, and I promise it’s not one thousand steps long. Just a simple system that works really well for me. So today, I’m spilling all the details!

We’re talking all things self-tan. ⁣

☀️ Firstly, let me be clear: about once a month, I try to get a spray tan. When I don’t have one done, I keep it fairly low key with my at-home routine. ⁣

☀️ If I want an intentional tan at home (for say an event or photo shoot), I always use a foam for my legs. @lovingtanofficial gives a great color but may be too deep for you if you’re fair skinned.⁣

☀️ Next, the @luxunfiltered lotion is hands down my favorite gradual tanning lotion there ever was. I try to apply it to my legs and arms every day for just a subtle maintenance color. And, I love their face drops too! ⁣

☀️ When applying the drops to my face, I play around with the routine. I like to apply them after my skin care routine, and mixing them with Rejuveniqe oil is my favorite. 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘺— it’s all about finding the routine that works for you!

Inevitably, my DMs blow up with people asking why, how, confused about applying face drops... 😂

The formula in face drops is subtle and takes a lot of “messing up” to mess them up. Which is awesome if you’re new to an at-home routine!

If all else fails, just simply follow the instructions on the back of the bottle. And, if you think it looks uneven after applying, use the Monat Berry Scrub to even it out! ⁣It gives an incredible scrub and exfoliation.

Hopefully this info helps! Just a few, key products that can help you look like you’ve been laying in the sun for a few days, even in the dead of wintertime. Score.

☀️ oh, and drink a lot of water and be good about applying a hydrating lotion to your body every day. as long as your skin stays hydrated, it’ll extend the life of your tan (I hate when the color flakes around my ankles and the backs of my legs).⁣
