Limiting Beliefs & Scarcity Mindset

“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.” – Jim Bishop

September means the kids are back in school, the weather will change drastically by the day, and we’ve officially entered a new season. So, what if we commitTed to entering into a new mindset this month, too?

One of the biggest components of running a successful business is a willingness to confront limiting beliefs and scarcity mindset. As uncomfortable and sweat-inducing as it may be.

The reality is, holding on to limiting beliefs and living with a scarcity mindset is deadly— not just to a business but to who you are as a person.

Take for example, blaming successful people for your perceived lack of success. This is a super common limiting belief. in most cases, it’s a defense mechanism against whatever internal fight you’re having (perceived failure, anxiety, emotional unrest, etc).⁣

I promise you, my success has nothing to do with what your failures are, and my failures hold no weight when it comes to your success. ⁣

I’m not a huge Tony Robbins fan in all things, but I do love when he said “The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.” It’s so true!

I Think about it like this: If I see a woman lose 50 pounds by eating right and exercising, is it her fault that I have gained 20 LBs?⁣

Or, if I see someone hit a huge promotion at work, is their success to blame for why I’m stagnant?⁣

no. just, no. and the voice in your head telling you that should be a major red flag. ⁣

do you, for you. work on you for you.

and if you don’t feel like it? it has nothing to do with me or anyone else.

On that note, Here are my best tips for confronting limiting beliefs and a scarcity mindset as we enter autumn:

⚡️ if you don’t show up to work, you don’t deserve to get paid. ⁣

⚡️ if you don’t earn a work perk, you don’t deserve the work perk.⁣

⚡️ if you choose to quit, that’s on you.

⚡️ if you don’t commit to consistency, don’t expect anyone to consistently support your business.⁣

⚡️ if you don’t work towards a goal on a timeline, the goal won’t be accomplished by “getting lucky.”⁣

⚡️ google is your friend. if you don’t understand something, google it.⁣

⚡️ your due diligence is your responsibility, don’t expect that from others. ⁣

⚡️ who you surround yourself with matters.⁣

⚡️ “I’m doing everything and getting no where” is a bold faced lie. No one does everything. even the most successful people know where they can be investing more time or effort. ⁣

⚡️ being a business owner means you take full ownership and responsibility for your actions, attitude and outcome.⁣

⚡️ the blame game isn’t progressive or valid, but it *is* a waste of everyone’s time. it’s no one else’s fault if you aren’t as far along as you want to be. ⁣

⚡️ how long does it take? it takes as long as it takes. and if you aren’t okay with that process, you won’t succeed.⁣

⚡️ we all suck at everything until we don’t. ⁣

⚡️ don’t prematurely send an email, DM, or drop a comment out of anger. nothing good can ever be accomplished by making others feel small. ⁣

⚡️ be honest with yourself about your goals, your timeline, and your effort. excuses are irrelevant, no one’s coming to save you, and the only moves that matter are your own. ⁣

⚡️ the day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.⁣

⚡️ why you do something is just as important as how you do somethinG. you have to know why it’s important to you. ⁣

⚡️ urgency matters. success loves speed.

so many things are ready to go your way. don’t sell yourself short, ever.

as my love Brené Brown says, “When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending.”
