My Product Cocktail For Dry Winter Hair

Is your hair dry right now? Yeah, mine too. Winter! ❄️⁣

The main reason why your hair can split and break more easily in the winter months? The lack of humidity; much drier heat inside and out. This can cause static, an itchy, flaky scalp and more thirsty ends.⁣

So, what to do about it?⁣ Here’s my rundown for helping to heal dry winter hair.

❄️ 𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀! Scalp to ends.⁣ The one thing I’ll never go without is Rejuveniqe Oil treatments to my hair and scalp. Do 1-3 times weekly to nourish your hair and scalp with all the goodness thus little silver bottle is full of— and remember, you’re only at the salon a few times a year. What you do (and the products you use) the other 360 days a year matter most.

❄️ 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲 in the shower every 2-3 washes. Shampoo (only scalp, not ends) twice with a moisturizing shampoo, squeeze all excess water out, then apply masque and leave in 3-5 minutes. Rinse and apply a moisturizing conditioner. Shampoo scalp, masque ears and down, condition ends. ⁣

❄️ apply a few pumps of the @monatofficial 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 to your ends every night before bed and after washing on towel dried hair. ⁣

❄️ 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲. a dry, itchy scalp needs moisture and hydration, not just from your hair products but also from the inside. A single strand of hair is made up of 25% water. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.⁣

❄️ 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗽 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗯 once every 4-5 washes. It gently exfoliates the scalp while providing nourishment. If you exfoliate dry skin in the winter, you can’t forget your scalp!⁣ Did you know the scalp ages six times faster than the skin on your face? ⁣I never knew how full and shiny my hair could be until I saw what quality products could do. ⁣Using quality products that focus on anti-aging and scalp health is the best thing you can do for your hair— it all starts with your scalp. ⁣

Signs of scalp aging 👇🏼👇🏼⁣

  • loss of volume⁣

  • dryness⁣

  • lifelessness⁣

  • thinning⁣

  • loss of elasticity⁣

  • scalp sensitivity ⁣

  • brittle hair⁣

  • fading color/grey color⁣texture changes⁣

❄️ always, always use a 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁. your hair is already more fragile during the winter months, don’t skip this step. ⁣

❄️ swap your usual shampoo and conditioner for one with more hydration, like the @monatofficial 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. hydrates without being heavy, gives really good volume and no more static!⁣

❄️ don’t got to bed with wet hair! 𝘄𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. Wet, fragile, extra dry ends due to the winter months? Even more prone to breakage if you sleep on it wet. And don’t forget to sleep on a silk pillowcase! ⁣

❄️ last but not least, I do my favorite hydration cocktail for the hair! Rejuveniqe oil + Restore leave-in conditioner. In the colder months, you can never hydrate enough! Remember: hydration is *different* than moisturizer. You can use a hydrating shampoo + conditioner, and if it works the way it says it does, your hair will be nourished and hydrated without being weighed down, heavy or greasy— even for the finest of hair. ❄️
