Holiday Beauty Do’s & Don’ts

Are you staying put this month and enjoying the holidays at home, or traveling to celebrate with family?

Either way, there's a good chance you're crazy busy over the next few weeks! I've put together a few simple but key reminders during this hectic (but incredible) season. I know I'm more than guilty of a few 👀 I hope you enjoy them!

Holiday Don't:

• Stay out too late & sleep in your makeup.

Holiday Do:

• Prepare ahead of time! Bring a larger purse so you can stick your favorite makeup wipes (or makeup removing balm) in it for the holiday parties that go later than expected.

Pro tip: Take your makeup off in the car ride home, so you don't have to mess with it once you arrive at your house and you're too tired!

Holiday Don't:

• Stress pick your face.

Holiday Do:

• We've all been there, I totally get it. But if you're stressing over your complexion, resist the urge to dig at your face and instead throw on your favorite exfoliating face mask for a nice scrub. Your skin will thank you!

Holiday Don't:

• Overdo the dry shampoo.

Holiday Do:

• If washing, blowdrying and styling your hair several days in a row seems like too much work, consider going heatless for a holiday get together or two! Skip the drying & styling part, and use a leave-in conditioner, de-frizzing product (the CC Cream is currently the Product Of The Month, score!) and an Air Dry Cream. Wash your hair, apply your products and sleep in loose braids for effortless waves, or let your hair air dry and then use a Waver Tool quickly to touch it up.

Holiday Don't:

• Totally abandoned your beauty routine while traveling.

 Holiday Do:

• The key is in planning ahead! Even if that means running to Walgreens the day before you leave for your holiday travel, and grabbing a few of those airport-friendly mini bottles for your skincare goodies. You'll feel your best when you remember to bring your own, trusted products when you're away!

Holiday Don't:

• Attempt to run off of zero Zzz's.

Holiday Do:

• This one is tough to avoid, especially if you're hosting tons of people, or traveling. You may not be able to scale back your Christmas plans, but you can ensure you have a restful nights sleep with the Sleep Drops I swear by. They help you get to bed more quickly and stay asleep longer.
