the key to success in monat
whenever I do a q&a on IG stories, inevitably there’s a massive influx of questions related to my monat business. this is normal and expected, I’ve been successful, and a lot of market partners follow along with my journey via my instagram.
however— a lot of the questions indicate to me that there are many of you out there waiting for some sort of magic potion, magic answer, or permission to work. and that’s exactly the opposite of what should be happening.
so, I’m gonna answer these Qs here! save the link to this post for any time you need to re-read it. ❤️
✨ 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.
should they support you? 𝘺𝘦𝘴.
are they a perk to the business? 𝘺𝘦𝘴!
are they a great resource? 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦.
but 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. nothing. your success, your hours worked, your effort put forth, your drive, your critical thinking, your customer service, your ability to access your back office resources and plug into corporate trainings, your knowledge, your paycheck? that’s on you. if you’re waiting on them to roll out the red carpet for you, you’re doing yourself a disservice. stop waiting and get to work! 💪🏼

✨ 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁.
get 👏🏼 to 👏🏼 work. immerse yourself in the resources available to you, dive the hell in, stop discounting yourself, stop with the excuses, stop it. show up every day with a passion for helping others, share what you love, stop waiting.
stop waiting.
stop waiting.
𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.
ultimately, if you want to be successful at this business, there are three main ingredients:
1. 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯. you must be passionate about the company, the products, but most importantly, passionate for helping others.
2. 𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺. I can’t stress it enough— 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱. if you’re wishing and hoping but sitting on both hands, nothing will ever happen. lukewarm means *nothing* in the world of self-employment.
3. 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤. you show up when others don’t, are consistent as hell, understand the short term grind for the long term gain, are always the hardest worker in the room, constantly working on self-development, solution minded instead of problem focused, and you’re never ever making excuses.
At the end of the day, it’s not easy, but it’s very simple work. I work like no one else so I can live like no one else. ❤️
Malcolm Gladwell said that to become an expert it takes 10000 hours (or approximately 10 years) of deliberate practice. (source: Outliers)
𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.
success doesn’t happen overnight. it doesn’t even happen in 10,000 hours unless you’re putting 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
“how did you build your business?”
“how did you grow a following?”
“how do you do what you do?”
10,000 hours of deliberate practice was just the beginning.
instant gratification is the death of success. allow it to take the time it takes while committing the deliberate time, effort, sacrifice and hustle it requires. no shortcuts, no luck.
deliberate action. 💪🏼
